Yoga for positive health Some people spend time dealing with injuries. Here is a positive approach to improving your health. It is just my opinion but I think Yoga when blended with the right approach to training and playing, can add energy, mobility, agility and a more balanced approach to life. If you ever get stiff and sore the day after a big match or training, Yoga unquestionably helps with that. Read James Willstrop's book and survey the top players in the world and you will find they all carry out physio directed exercises, and regular stretching. Some know physical stretching as Hatha Yoga, which consists of static stretching asanas or postures. This is not part of your warm-up routine, but a separate set of stretches apart from meals and hard training sessions. Some years ago I asked a group of exceptionally gifted and successful players. Every one was doing some yoga. One up and coming youngster was shocked. He wasn't doing yoga but I suspect he is now. I recommend you read about yoga, or join an inexpensive group class and see if you don't feel better. Less injuries and more stamina.
